It’s been a rollercoaster of a season for the Owen Sound Attack. The highs, the lows, the wins, the losses have all brought us to today: Just 48 hours from puck drop in an Ontario Hockey League Playoff series against the Flint Firebirds. I was struggling to sum up the season so I decided to reach out to all of you, the fans, the parents, the billets and let you share your words with the No Quit Bears as they head to the post-season. We’ll be glued to our TVs and radios for Games 1 and 2 in Flint and then we’ll be in the stands at the Bayshore for Games 3 and 4 on March 30 and April 1 at home. For now, enjoy some words of encouragement, reflection and one really awesome video. No one can write the final chapters of this season but the boys on the ice. I can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.
Boys,
First off—take a moment and be proud of what you’ve already done this season. You came out strong, showed everyone what kind of team you are, and even when things didn’t go your way for a stretch, you never folded. You pushed through it together. That says everything about your character.
Now here you are—playoffs.
This is a fresh start. Standings don’t matter. Records don’t matter. What matters is who is willing to compete harder, battle longer, and refuse to quit.
And that’s exactly who you are.
You’re the NO QUIT BEARs.
That name isn’t just something people say—it’s something you prove every shift. It’s in the way you chase down pucks, support each other, block shots, dig deep when you’re tired, and keep going when things get tough.
You’re about to face Flint. They’re going to bring their best—but so will you. Trust your teammates. Trust your work. Play for each other. Play with heart.
Remember:
- Every shift matters
- Every battle matters
- Every second matters
Leave nothing behind. When you step off the ice, make sure you can look at each other and know you gave everything you had.
No fear. No excuses. No quit.
Let’s make some noise!
Anonymous (but amazing)
Boys,
You aren’t here by accident. You earned your way into these playoffs. Everything you’ve done in your careers brought you to this moment.
A mid season fumble doesn’t have to dictate how this all ends. You have all worked through tough times and, because of the adversity you faced this season, are a stronger group than you were back in training camp.
Skate faster. Shoot more. Hit harder. Make them hate you. Embrace the underdog storyline.
Go give them hell. Go punch your ticket to Kelowna!

To Braedyn Rogers. We are longtime fans…from day 1 when the team arrived as the Platers and season ticket holders for decades…so we feel like we can recognize a heart and soul player. You have always demonstrated those qualities. We have long considered you the unsung hero on the team and a rock on the blueline!! Good luck in the playoffs and we look forward to watching you next season!!
Laurie and Rob Christie
These young men have put their hearts into every game. I take my grandchildren to pretty much every game (I’m a season ticket holder). The “don’t quit” attitude of the players is a life lesson for my grandchildren. Yes it’s been an up and down season but they keep doing it. Last night against Flint was about as good as it gets. We are very much looking forward to Kitchener on Saturday and whatever the playoffs bring. Season tickets will soon be renewed and the grandchildren will once again be treated to some excellent hockey and life lessons next year. GO ATTACK GO!
Ken Schneider
Captain Mbuyi and this team show character, determination, true grit and determination. Gotta shoutout to Koprowski and Bennett in that net! Incredible job by both guys, that saw little game play until the exit of Carter George.
See you in the playoffs!
GO ATTACK GO!

This is for the whole team. Thank you for the entertaining, exciting hockey all season. Playoffs are a whole new season. Everyone starts off the same. Just go out, have fun and give everything you have and good things will happen.

Wishing the bears the very best of luck in the first round of playoffs (and beyond)! It’s been a roller coaster of a season, but that’s what makes it exciting, every dip sets you up for the next climb. Climb high guys. We believe in each of you and in what you can accomplish together.

Some words for the boys! I personally wasn’t a hockey fan at all ( think I had only previously watched 2-3 NHL games on tv) but my grandson and son and we had bought the season tickets for them. However, after attending a few games with our grandson when my son wasn’t able to take him I am now a BIG fan, even subscribed to Flo Hockey to watch your away games, and bought a game worn jersey from one of the auctions. You guys have made me LOVE the sport! We have now added 2 more season passes so our whole family can go next season! You all have fought hard through the ups and downs this season and should be proud of yourselves. Keep up the hard work and most importantly -have FUN! Let’s show them that Bears don’t back down. Go Attack Go!!

I just want our boys to know how proud we are of them. We wish you all the success. We stand behind you all the way. To the billets, thank you so much for what you do, it’s so important and we appreciate you more than words can say.

Dave Cruickshank and The Attack Pak
What a season! We didn’t know what to expect when we became a billet family, but we’ve loved every minute. Cado has been an awesome addition to our family and we have gotten to know so many others, especially Banks and Nans and Lenny. We wish the team all the best in playoffs. And Cado, everything happens for a reason. You’re where you are supposed to be, now go do amazing things!
Mel, Mike and all the boys

This season hasn’t been easy. There have been highs, lows, and everything in between. But that’s what makes a team stronger. You’ve battled, stuck together, and kept showing up when it wasn’t easy and that matters more than any score.
Playoffs aren’t about being perfect. They’re about heart, grit, and believing in each other. You’ve already proven you can push through anything. Now it’s time to trust yourselves, play for the guy beside you, and leave it all out there.
Matty, we’re so proud of the way you’ve handled every challenge this year. Keep being strong in the net, steady, and fearless. Your team believes in you and so do we.
No matter what happens, you’ve already shown what you’re made of. Now go have fun, play your game, and give it everything you’ve got.
Go Attack Go!
Love Mom, Dad, Alexandra and Family xoxox
I’ve dabbled as a fan in the past, but this season has moved me into the die hard category.
So much fun to watch. So many close games, amazing games, leave it all on the ice games!
I just kept wanting to come back and see it all play out, again and again.
Can’t wait to see what happens next.
