A change of venue: Attack at Barrie photo report sponsored by Watson Construction

Once in a while, when the stars align, the roads are clear and I have a free night that the Attack are playing in Barrie, I make a last-minute decision to take Highway 26 over to my favourite spot to shoot in the OHL. Things have been tough in Attackland and I missed Georgie’s return with the Soo last weekend dealing with some family stuff, so I was feeling a bit disconnected from the team. If we’re being honest, I was also feeling a bit lackluster with my photos of late and sometimes a change of scenery is as good as a break. The suicide box in Barrie will fire you up in a hurry. This little glass free box between the two players benches means you’re right in the action, you can see who is bleeding, you can hear who is swearing, you can practically join the high five fly by after a goal and sometimes you have to pin yourself to the wall when someone gets checked in your spot. Despite missing out on the shoot out win on Thursday, the team played hard and picked up a point, Trenten Bennett put on a show and the compete level was there against a very tough Barrie team.
